Some of life’s most meaningful moments happen in the blink of an eye—a newborn’s first yawn, a toddler’s belly laugh, a family wrapped in hugs, or a senior standing proudly on the edge of their next chapter. As a mom and photographer in the Kansas City metro area, I know just how quickly these moments come and go, and how important it is to hold onto them. That’s why I fell in love with photography—not just for the images themselves, but for the stories they tell and the memories they preserve. Every session is a chance to freeze time for families, couples, and seniors, so years from now they can look back and remember exactly how it felt.
Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my parents did photography as a side job, and I often found myself in front of their lens as their model. At eighteen, they gifted me my first professional film camera, sparking a love for capturing moments that only deepened as I started my own family. When I became pregnant with my oldest 17 years ago, that love truly blossomed into a passion for photography, and I discovered how powerful it is to preserve every season of life.
As a mom to three amazing kids—including my middle son, who has Cerebral Palsy—I’ve learned to treasure both the everyday moments and the milestones. My journey as a special needs mom has shaped not only the way I see the world but also the way I approach photography—with patience, empathy, and a deep appreciation for each story I’m invited to tell.
Today, photography is more than just my career—it’s my calling. Every session reminds me why I started: to capture love, joy, and connection in all its forms, and to give families timeless memories they can hold onto forever.

I love getting to photograph all the little (and big!) moments that make life so special. Newborn snuggles, birthday milestones, family laughs, sweet couple sessions, and seniors ready to take on the world—each stage has its own kind of magic, and I feel so lucky to capture it. My goal is always to make sessions relaxed and fun, so the photos feel real and full of personality. At the end of the day, it’s about creating memories you’ll look back on and smile about for years to come.
As a photographer, I focus on making each session fun, relaxed, and stress-free. I love helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera, guiding poses in a way that feels natural so everyone looks and feels their best. Plus, I offer both studio and outdoor sessions all around the KC metro area, so we can choose the setting that fits your style and personality. Whether we’re capturing cozy indoor moments or exploring a favorite outdoor spot, my goal is always the same—to create photos that feel real, joyful, and full of memories you’ll treasure.
The leaves are falling, the air is crisp, and it's the perfect time to capture some seasonal memories!
Fall is such a beautiful time for photos, and what you wear can really make your session shine! I love seeing families and couples in warm, cozy tones like rust, mustard, olive, deep greens, and soft neutrals—these colors really pop against autumn leaves and natural backdrops. I usually suggest avoiding bright neons, bold logos, or patterns that are too busy, since they can distract from the real focus—your family and your connection. The goal is to coordinate without matching perfectly, keeping everyone looking natural and comfortable so your personalities really shine through. I help you do this with my Family Session Guides I send out with great information to prepare you for your session.
