That means no more watching the clock during playtime. Families can arrive when it works best for them and enjoy a more relaxed, flexible experience during regular open hours. Even better, Wednesday evenings now include extended hours until 6:00 PM, making it easier to fit play into busy schedules.

How Open Play Works
While structured two-hour sessions are gone, The Paperback Playhouse is still thoughtfully managing capacity to ensure kids have plenty of space to play and explore. Walk-ins are welcome, but families are strongly encouraged to reserve a spot online at www.paperbackplayhouse.com. Simply choose the time closest to your estimated arrival, then you can you can stay and play without worrying about a hard stop.
A Space Designed for Learning Through Play
Unique to the area, The Paperback Playhouse blends studio art, children’s literacy, dramatic play, and sensory exploration under one roof. With multiple themed play areas, the space is designed to support the educational and developmental milestones of children 6 months through 8 years old.
While kids play, create, and learn, adults are invited to relax, socialize, shop, or even get a little work done. There’s also a complimentary game and activity shelf available for adults and siblings over age 8.

Monday–Friday Open Play

- Ages 6 months–24 months: $9
- Under 6 months: $5 or FREE with a paid sibling

A Few Important Notes
- A safety waiver is required for all guests before their first visit
- Only children 8 years and under may use the dedicated play spaces
- Children ages 9–16 must be accompanied by an adult and a paying child 8 or under
